My Story

I’m Jayson, the maker behind Captain Homers.

 The Pacific Northwest has a long fishing history, shaped by powerful rivers, rugged coastline, and waters that demand respect. Here in Oregon, that connection to the water is part of what Captain Homers is built on.

I handcraft every lure myself, one small batch at a time, with those demanding waters in mind. I choose durable components and pay attention to the details because a lure needs to do more than look good—it needs to hold up and fish well. I test and refine designs on the water, so each lure has to earn its place.

Handling every part of the build myself gives me the flexibility to create lures for specific fishing needs. That includes custom builds for a lodge in Alaska, designed around the waters they fish and the way they fish them. I enjoy working with customers to turn their ideas into custom lures.
